Claire's 1st Beach Trip

Claire and Mommy went to the beach last week with Aunt Debbie, Abigayle, & Walter. Claire surprisingly loved it. She played on her blanket under the umbrella, kept touching the sand in her hands, and even enjoyed the waves. She took a nap for a little while so Mommy could relax in the sun too! The hardest part was carrying everything out to the beach.....I think we took just about everything with us just in case we needed something....if Daddy used to complain about carrying all of Mommy's beach stuff, just wait until he goes back with both of us. While we were there, we also went to visit Fort Morgan and went to the Amusement park to watch Abby & Walter play. Claire was too small to ride anything this year - but maybe next summer.

Happy 4th!

We hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July. Ours was great. We spent the day on the Alabama River near Montgomery celebrating with James' family and then ended it with a party at a friends house back in Birmingham. It was a fun day filled with LOTS of yummy barbeque. Claire was quite the party animal!

Claire is crawling!!

Yay!! Claire is on the move. She has been trying to crawl for weeks now and has been doing a lot of rocking back and forth.......well, finally this past week she started crawling. Right now she crawls to get things - whether it be a toy or something she shouldn't be getting into - such as the DVD's in the entertainment center. I'm sure in just a few more days she'll be moving from room to room. It's time to baby proof everything. We'll post a video soon!
