Abigayle's Princess Party

We recently went to Charleston for cousin Abigayle's 6th birthday party. She had a fun princess party and Claire had a great time playing with the girls and Walter. They got to dress up, decorate picture frames, play games and eat CAKE! While we went to the party, James played golf with Uncle Chad. Later that night, the guys watched the little kids while Aunt Debbie and I took Abigayle out for a birthday dinner. We had a great time and can't wait to visit again soon! Thanks for having us Aunt Debbie and Uncle Chad!

Bear drives us to Charleston.......we wish.

Pretty princess

Putting on make-up.

Playing Snow White's poison apple game....if you have the apple when the music stops you fall into a deep sleep until you get a hershey kiss!

Our Knight and Shining Armor, Walter!
Green went to the party too!
They all love Abby's new bubble machine....Claire gave Abby one just like hers.
The pretty birthday girl with her new jewelry box.
We played outside while waiting on the guys to get home....they were too busy hanging out at the club house after their golf game....that's when Deb and I decided we would go out to dinner while they babysat.

Everyone letting a balloons go! Claire was quick to let hers go, but then sad when she couldn't get it back!

Pumpkins!!

It has become a family tradition for us to carve pumpkins every year for Halloween. We have fun doing them and love seeing how they turn out all lit up. This year we did one pumpkin for each of us, and then Claire insisted we do her little "baby pumpkin" also! I guess it can be for Daisy. Can you guess who picked each design?? Claire is excited about the fun Halloween festivities this weekend. She has a party at school Friday and then we'll trick-or-treat and hand out candy on Saturday night. Claire is dressing up as a ballerina....we can't wait!

Claire and I finished our fun ghost project last night for our front door. I borrowed (stole) the idea from another girls blog that I read....or as James says...stalks. Okay, I admit it....but it's so much fun to read other people's blogs....and you can get great ideas! Claire loves her not so scary ghost! happy early halloween.....we're getting ready!

Ready for Fall!

We are so excited fall is here, even if the weather doesn't always cooperate. Fall is my favorite time of year - the changing leaves, cooler weather and upcoming holidays. We went to the Pumpkin Patch this past Sunday to pick out a few pumpkins. I'm not going to lie...I was a bit disappointed this year - the pumpkins weren't as big, some appeared to be bought from another farm, and the petting zoo was 1/2 empty. Regardless though we still had a great time, and Claire had fun. She talks about her pumpkins every day and we had to leave some inside the house so that she can see them all the time! Granny and Paw Paw met us at the patch and got some pumpkins as well. We usually have a pumpkin carving contest every year, which James and I take very seriously - ha! After the pumpkin patch, we headed to Granny & Paw Paw's house for lunch - yummy shrimp gumbo.

On our way....Claire better make room for the pumpkins!

Granny, Claire and Daddy are excited about the hay ride.

Granny finds the perfect pumpkin.

Paw Paw's pumpkin

Claire makes sure no one tries to take ours.

Claire loved the geese. She stayed here and watched them for at least 5 minutes! And Daddy loved the Llama....he tooks TONS of pictures of this guy.
This is not a great picture....but it's the only one I have with all 3 of us.Claire peeks through the hole the wrong way!
I'm not sure who's more excited about the big green tractor...Claire or Paw Paw?!

It was a fun time!!

Fun at home!

Here are a few pictures of Claire from this week!

Still loving Mrs. Potato Head's earrings.

We do a lot of reading in our house! Claire loves books!

2 Year Pics

Claire had her 2 year pictures taken last Saturday at Botanical Gardens and I'm so so so excited at how they turned out. Jenny with JennyMo Designs took them for us and we think she did a great job. Claire did really well too! Of course towards the end she started getting a little hot and tired, so the 2nd outfit didn't end up being in a lot of pictures.........but hey, just getting a few good ones with a 2 year old I think is great. Here's a little peek at some of my favorites:
