Snow Day?

Last Friday Birmingham actually got 2-3 inches of snow. Wow! We all got off from work/school early and rushed home to play. I figured it would be another light dusting but was pleasantly surprised when I got home to everything covered in white. It was very beautiful and we had fun building a snowman. Claire was still not too fond of getting wet or walking in the snow, but LOVED her snowman and kept wanting to go outside to talk to him. Daisy on the other hand thought our snowman was an intruder and howled at it for at least 30 minutes until James carried her over to it and she gave him a lick. We enjoyed the snow a little more Saturday morning, but within a few hours it had all melted away. Claire is still asking what happened to Frosty and when he'll come back.

Our happy little snowman.

A little painting....

A few weeks ago Grandma came to visit us for a long weekend. While she was here, I thought it would be fun to have a girls day and go to Sips n' Strokes. Claire and Daddy stayed home & took a nap while we went to create our masterpieces. Somehow we managed to pick one of the hardest paintings that they offer, but it was a lot of fun. Grandma said she's going to hang hers in the barn outside, but I don't think they turned out too bad. Maybe next time we'll pick a more simple painting.

Work in progress....

So proud of our finished products - Retro Paisley!
I think it's so funny how different they came out even though we were painting the same thing....each eye is different. Needless to say, we've decided it's a good idea we didn't try this for a living.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

We recently celebrated James' 30th Birthday!!! Claire and I surprised him with a small family party at home after work and got a few of his favorite things. We hope you had a special birthday Daddy and love you so much! Happy 30th!
