Strawberries!

It's strawberry season and we LOVE them!! I can remember picking strawberries from my dad's garden when I was a kid and everyone fighting over who would get the 1st one of the season. This past Saturday, we went to Witt Farm, north of Birmingham, to pick some. The rain was nice enough to hold off and we picked 4 baskets. They are delicious!! After giving a couple baskets away to family, we decided to try our hands at some strawberry jam and fruit roll-ups. The fruit roll-ups did not turn out as I would have liked.....they are quite messy, but still delicious. However, the jam looks great and now we'll be set for biscuits and toast - YUMMY!
