Portrait Innovations

So, pretty last minute I decided I wanted to get Claire's 18 month portraits done and decided to go to Portrait Innovations. Claire was ready to go and happy as can be.........and then we walk into the packed studio filled with children and their families. After about a 30 minute wait (which I guess it could have been worse), it's finally our turn! But as we're walking into the studio area, Claire decides to have a meltdown just as the backdrop is being lowered. She won't sit by herself so they cover me with a white drape, and Claire sits in my lap....after some juice and a few ritz crackers we finally get a couple of good shots. If anyone has ever been to Portrait Innovations, you know they take well over 100 pictures....well we managed to get 18 total!! At least it wasn't hard to pick out our favorites. We picked two, and ended up getting them for free b/c I guess Claire's photographer felt bad. We'll do better for her 2 year pics. Next time I'm thinking about getting a photographer to meet us at Botanical Gardens or somewhere we can get pretty outside pictures! After all, that is Claire's favorite place to be! 18 Months Old

Our little Claire Bear is 18 months old today! She had her well-visit this morning and was actually sick poor thing. She came home with a fever yesterday, and had a terrible night - so we were glad to already have an appointment with her pediatrician today. She only has a little drainage from her ear tubes, and tested negative for the flu, so the doctor thinks it's just a virus. We'll have to go back in a week or two to get her shots once she is feeling better. And of course, Claire is still growing like a weed:

Height: 32 3/4 inches - 75%
Weight: 26lbs 2 oz - 75%

We're supposed to get her 18 month pictures taken this Sunday, but may push that back if she's not feeling well. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Fun Outside

We are really enjoying the warm weather we've had lately........and, now that Claire has her walking down pat, she wants to go everywhere. Here are a few pics of her playing outside this afternoon when we got home.

We've Moved!

Yay.....we've finally moved into our new house after 3 months! We are super excited about the new place, but still have A LOT of unpacking and settling to do before it feels like home. I promise to post some pics soon so you can see the before and after shots. We knocked out a wall, painted everything, and put some new floors down in part of the house. Claire has settled into her new room pretty quickly....the first night was a bit hard, but since then she's been sleeping just fine. Here are a few pictures of Claire playing in the pink car she got from Grandma & Grandpa. Lately she enjoys playing in her car and walking around wearing a necklace and purse like a miss priss. I also noticed while reading Claire's "Hello Aubie" book to her tonight that when you say War Eagle, she does the hand motion....she picks up things quickly. She also insisted that we put her cheerleader outfit on her tonight...she was already in PJ's and decided to empty out one of her dresser drawers...when she saw the outfit, she pulled on the top, so I helped her with the skirt....when I tried to take it off so we could read, she got mad....so we left it on a little bit longer.....she cracks me up!
