Ready for Christmas!!

Claire, James and I are definitely looking forward to Christmas this year. We have had so much fun the past few weeks going to parties, decorating and watching Claire get excited about Christmas decorations and lights. We all have one more day of work and school, and then it's time to celebrate. Claire went to visit Santa Clause this past weekend. We stopped by the Bass ProShop in Prattville on Saturday and noticed that you could have your picture taken with Santa for FREE and the line was super short!! So yes, Claire and I went to join the other children. At first I was afraid Santa might be in Camo, but saw that he was dressed in his usual big red suit. Of course the Bass ProShop Santa had a real "stuffed" reindeer behind him....gotta love it! Claire didn't have on her cute "Santa picture" outfit, but I had a feeling she would cry this year anyway, so away we went. At first she did cry and it was the typical toddler screaming picture....but they ran out of ribbon while they were printing our picture and asked us to go to the front of the line and take another. Somehow the miracle working elf was able to get Claire to smile a little bit, and they snapped her photo fast! I'm hoping we can access her picture on-line today and i'll post it this afternoon along with some other pics from the last few weeks. We've been to Granny & Paw Paw's rib party, dinner with our friends and a few other family celebrations. We will be at home in Alabama for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and will celebrate Christmas with the Creel's, and then we will drive to Baton Rouge for a long weekend afterwards with the Spradley's. We hope everyone has a safe and happy Holiday!

Fun with Grandma!

Here are the pictures of Claire when she was supposed to be at home "sick" with Grandma! She definitely was sick, but still playing as much as she could!

The diaper box is Claire's favorite new thing to play with....who needs toys!

Update

Sorry it's been so long since our last post! I went back to work the Monday after Halloween and things have been pretty crazy ever since. It has definitely been an adjustment getting up early and getting everyone out the door on time. The same week I started work poor Claire got sick. She came home from daycare Thursday afternoon with 103 fever. We took her to the doctor that Friday and she had a "little" infection in her left ear. I didn't know a minor ear infection would cause 103 degree fever! She had to take an antibiotic for 10 days which made her feel just as bad and she didn't want to eat or do anything, which is so unusual for Claire. We didn't think those 10 days would ever go by. Aunt Cara and Granny kept Claire for the first few days and then Grandma came in town from Baton Rouge to keep her since it was only my 2nd week of work. We kept Claire out of daycare for a week and now she's finally back to normal. Thanks for everyone's help!

Halloween Fun:
Claire had a great Halloween. She had a party at school with her daycare class, and it was so cute to see all the kids sitting around the table enjoying their snacks. After school, we took Claire to a friends house to go trick-or-treating. She and her friend, Hayes, rode in the wagon from house to house.....she was the cutest little bumble bee. bzzz bzzzzz

We're getting excited about our trip to Aunt Debbie & Uncle Chad's next week for Thanksgiving. Claire always has so much fun with her cousins and Mommy and Daddy are looking forward to the turkey feast. After that it will be time for Christmas, and I can't wait to decorate.

We'll post pictures soon...

Pumpkin Carving

It's that time of year again......and James and I for some reason love to carve pumpkins for Halloween. We had a carving party with the Creel's on Saturday and Claire had her own pumpkin too! Now, we are ready for trick-or-treating on Friday!

Party Time

Sunday was Claire's friend, Hayes' first birthday party!! She had a great time playing in the back yard and helping Hayes eat his cake (even thought he didn't need it). He just dug right in and Claire thought it looked like fun so she joined him. Happy Birthday Hayes!
Playing in Hayes' new sand table.

Look at Hayes' new cool four wheeler!First time on a slide.

I think he's starting to slow down....yummy cake!I'm not sure if Hayes is trying to push Claire on the four wheeler or if he's telling her to get off his new toy, but they're having fun!

The Great Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch in Hayden. Claire had a great time and the weather was beautiful. First, we went on a hayride and picked out the 2 biggest pumpkins we could find for Daddy to carry back to the car, and then Claire rode a pony!!! I think this place will definitely be a yearly trip for Halloween!!

These are the 2 we have to get!!
Daddy loves waiting with heavy pumpkins while we take more pics!
Claire is about to jump over the rail to get on a pony!
Look at this big girl!
Now if she could just learn how to hold on.
